LSA Bootcamp

Each day is made up of a memorable and energy filled kick off; a core interactive module; a chance to experience and practice new skills; as well as an opportunity to really explore a specific topic in more depth. Each day finishes with a lively wrap up and instructions for any tasks to do before the next day. The day’s itinerary is based around an eight-hour schedule which includes lunch and additional breaks.

  • The Core Modules are designed to focus on the fundamental tools of the 3 pillars and reflect the modules described above in the other versions of the programme.
  • The Experiential sections will use both inside (classroom) and external (in the field) opportunities for practice as well as adopting more innovative experiences. The former will support participants in transferring new skills into straightforward environments, whilst the latter will give deeper insights and mastery of the skills in more challenging or unusual environments.
  • The content in the Deep Dives is designed to really challenge participants and push their command and ability of specific topics – so content that you’ll only get if you immerse yourself in the bootcamp, rather than the modular approach.

MONDAY

CORE MODULE

 

PEOPLE BUY PEOPLE

People buy people.  The art of making a friend is often not as easy as it sounds. We teach our delegates how to read people, spot openings and opportunities, and how to adapt to the customer and find common ground.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

PITCH PERFECT

Start by being the customer out in the field. We provide you with a need, a want, and a budget. You go out and experience how others sell to you (the good, the bad, and the ugly) and your own emotional buying cycle. Returning with lessons learned.

DO NOTHING

Using established exercises this session looks at how to focus on what is important and be mindful and alert in all situations.  Here you will practice dynamic techniques to help you stay in the moment as much as possible.

WHAT MAKES YOU

Through a series of both classroom and field based fun excercises we establish ones core and what really makes one tick so to speak.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

SUPER STRENGTHS

What do we bring to the table? This exercise gives us the chance to practice using our unique strengths. A full digital marketing plan for you: including your own youtube video.

DEEP DIVE

 

FIND YOURSELF

You can feed your understanding of your strengths and your preferences by completing an indepth personality assessment tool. You debrief the results with a qualified practitioner and then use the results to refine your sales approach.

WEDNESDAY

CORE MODULE

 

PURPOSE, PASSION, PRESENCE

Purpose, passion and presence.  It sounds so simple.  We establish all three units and with those we then create various scenarios, role plays, and real field situations.  You are becoming your own brand.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

BRAND NEW YOU

We all find energy and enthusiasm in somewhere and when we are talking about this our whole demeanour changes. This practical session uses exercises from the world of stage acting and sets us the challenge of both being in, and outside, our passion comfort zone.

DEEP DIVE

 

FINDING THE BALANCE

The best insight into our behaviour is to see it in action. Using videos of yourself selling, we analyse every inch of detail and practice the 3 Ps so we can hone our own brand to perfection.

FIRST IMPACT

Now is the time when we can stand up in front of the class and create an impact. We learn how to deliver and control a room of delegates through speech and body language.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

WHO AM I?

The internet has given us myriad examples of misinterpretation from the consensus over a colour of a dress to the reasons why a politician made a ‘that’ choice. Everyday those around make the same judgements about our behaviour. Alongside the other field activities this session gives us the opportunity to see how we are seen by others and understand how to use this to our advantage.

DEEP DIVE

 

WORKING TOGETHER

We don’t really know how we will respond to a challenge until it happens. This session puts that to the test, pitting teams against each other to achieve the impossible. In this session you will discover how you work within a team, and under pressure with live feedback from your peers and observers.

READING OTHERS

As humans we are constantly learning and responding to others.  In this section we learn how to read what the other person is thinking or feeling through body language interpretation and feeling our body as a communication tool.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

ACTS OF KINDNESS

People who perform random acts of kindness have been proved to be happier and more satisfied with life. This session tasks us with delivering these tasks but with the twist of having to find out what people need first.

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

As humans we take mental shortcuts all the time. Without them even brushing our teeth becomes an arduous task. However, when it comes to people these assumptions aren’t always helpful. This section explores how many unconscious natural biases we have and how to make them work for us.

MAKING CONNECTIONS 1 & 2

Making connections with class mates is easy.  Making connections with strangers is also easy.  Here we focus on field excercises and learn to sell real products to total strangers.  We learn how to think on our feet,  cover objections effectively, read the body language of the customer, manage rejection,  and complete the sale.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

DON’T BE YOURSELF

“Be yourself, everyone else is taken” is a phrase this exercise takes to heart. Trying on other personas helps stretch our own approach, and doing it in public only emboldens us. In this session we will become different characters and learn how they impact the world by getting out there and experiencing it.

DEEP DIVE

 

FIND YOUR VOICE

Sometimes we get stuck in autopilot and making changes is tricky. Throwing a simple prop into an improv session can reframe our approach and creativity. This session is about breaking out from our comfort zone and discovering the power of our voice and reactive imagination to convey emotions and make connections.

TUESDAY

THE HARDEST SELL

Experience is the greatest teacher we can have, so this session gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in another world for a whole day, in order to bring immeasurable learning. During the day you will work for charity and try to convince people to part with their money for nothing other than a good cause.

WEDNESDAY

CORE MODULE

 

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING

Attitude is everything.  This is fundamental teaching at The London Sales Academy.  We look at positive attitude versus negative attitude and the sciences behind it.  We then take this attitude and embrace it in the field with a variety of exercises.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

YES WE CAN

What we see and what we understand are very different things. Alongside daily ‘in the field’ practicals this session focuses on testing a positive optimistic outlook. Tasking us to find the good and appreciate the beauty of the everyday.

DEEP DIVE

 

MAKING YOUR MINDSET

Our mindset impacts how we approach challenges; our response to failure and our ability to learn. This session delves deep into your past and present failures and unpicks how the experiences have formed you as a person. Some labels stick and stop us from expanding. Here we move from a fixed to a growth mindset.

THE RESILIENCE FACTOR

We learn here how to take the rejections of life and sales.  Knock backs happen on a daily basis and how we handle these determines what happens next.  We learn about the importance of resilience and the positive outcome.   This module is classroom and of course field sales based.

EXPERIENTIAL

 

IT IS NOT ME, IT IS YOU

When people are scared of spiders, psychologist put them in a room full of 8 legged creatures. This apparent torture is known as exposure therapy. This session uses this principle, but with rejection. Making ‘no’ our friend overcomes one of the biggest blocks in selling. Rejection becomes a springboard.

DEEP DIVE

 

BUIDLING RESILIENCE

This module is entirely field based.  Our delegates have the opportunity to pitch real products to customers and feel not only the rejection and how to handle it, but also the highs of the completed sales.

FRIDAY

HAVE A GO HEROES

This final day brings together the theory, practice and self knowledge the course has armed us with so far. Time is divided up with full on practical sales challenges – to be observed and assessed – plus a presentation from each individual on their personal ten-day journey. Everyone will leave the programme with a full report on their achievements and a clear plan for further development, including information on the LSA alumni programme.
